Join the adventure
as Rudasa, the Rural Doctors Association of Southern Africa, invites
you to attend the BIG 6th Rudasa Conference to be held in the heart
of the BIG 5 country over the long weekend in August.
A sponsored
pre-conference workshop on Home based care will start on the morning
of the 9th of August.
The conference
will focus on the following "BIG 6" themes:
- Rural doctor
recruitment, development & retention
- HIV / AIDS
- Emergency
medicine
- Training
in procedural skills
- Gender issues
- Social interaction
with colleagues
Plenaries
will be delivered by:

President of Rudasa, Head of the Department of Family Medicine,
Unitra

Mariba,
Head of Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Pretoria.
In addition,
sessions will be held to address, amongst others:
- Perinatal
problem identification program
- Vertical
transmission of HIV
- Paediatric
health care
- Coping skills
for rural doctors
- Issues in
Primary Health Care
An application
for accreditation of
14 General CPD points &
1 Ethics CPD point
has been submitted to the SA Academy of Family Practice/Primary
